Okay, for real...I did a lot of work on this one. You can click on the photos to see them enlarged. I created this layout for the Dusty Attic Sketch Challenge. The photo is of me right after my 30th birthday, back in my acting days. I used one of my headshot photos here. I will show you close up pictures of all of the different techniques I have used for this page.
Here is the sketch from which I worked, created by the amazing Nadia Cannizzo.
I started out using papers from the Bo Bunny Weekend Market Collection. First I tore around the edges of the background paper, stamped, stenciled, embossed, misted and stitched around the edge and around a couple of the textured diamonds.
Next, I fussy cut a border from the dark paper.
I also sprayed and crumpled the darker paper after I stamped and gold embossed it.
I then assembled the many layers, including a doily, two different hand-dyed laces, paper, and gold-painted corrugate.
Next I added the beautifu Dusty Attic Skeleton Clock face (DA0430), which I painted with a little crackle paint and gold embossed it, as well.
You can see a pretty little Webster's Pages rose cameo that I tucked under the paper on top of the doily. Additionally I splattered three different paints to add some extra texture to the papers and embellishments before adding the photo and flowers.
I also should point out that I always save little tidbits that I find here and there. I just so happened to purchase a bar of soap that had this little seal with my last name on it...such a great find, I thought it only fitting to add it to this layout of me.
I found this wonderful little quote on Pinterest and thought it so succinctly stated how I feel about my life.
It, for me, is truly about discovering who God created me to be.
Thank you for letting me share my layout with you...Have a wonderfully blessed day!
Gorgeous layout. I can tell that it was a lot of work.
