Time for another challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog, and I have paired it with a sketch for the Scrap 365 challenge, as well. The layout is titled Let It Snow, which is really funny because the photo of the polar bear was taken by my daughter Austinie at Sea World...the farthest place from snow - but I'll bet the bear was thinking it!!!
Here is the fun sketch that I used from Scrap 365 and I just had such a great time with all the layering; in fact, I have a journaling card that pulls out from behind the frame and photo.
And here is the lovely mood board from Scrap Hoarders - I just loved all the wintry blues.
My photographs turned out a little warmer than they are in real life, as I shot them at night with a lot of incandescent light. For the background work, I stenciled and stamped, splattered and water-colored, inked and glittered - just about every darn thing you can do to a page.
For this GORGEOUS Dusty Attic chippie - Garden Frame set (DA0606,) I applied gesso, then mixed up some shimmery blue paint with platinum liquid pearls and white stickles glitter glue. Lastly I painstakingly covered it with Crackle Accents until my hand about fell off.
I also used some snowflakes that I punched and glittered sprinkled about, and some cheese cloth for an extra texture.
Here is the left side...
And here is the right.
Thank you for stopping by, I always enjoy your visit!
