This is a sketch I did featuring my daughter Austinie and her best friend Kayla in California.
Here is the gorgeous Mood Board from Scrap Around The World, and I just loved all of the pinks and frilly frou-frou girliness of all of the photos.
I alto teamed up the mood board with this really beautiful sketch by Michele Singh to enter it into the C'est Magnifique challenge. I just love it when I can find inspiration that magnificently works together!
The photos was placed on a file folder from Webster's Pages that I used gesso to take the color down a little. I used the inside for journaling and put a clip and a closer on it to keep it in place. I built a nice little pocket out of some Webster's lace to neatly fit it.
I used a Webster's rose resin piece and colored it to coordinate. The frame is Kaisercraft, the bike is FabScraps and the beautiful lamppost is from Creative Embellishments. I dressed all the chipboard with paint, ink, some embossing and liquid pearls for the bike.
I just LOVE the trim from Webster's Pages - the fluffy furry trim is so pretty!
For the background, I used tissue paper and Mod Podge for texture, then I used Shimmerz Dazzlerz with a palette knife, and stenciled some chevrons. Then I washed everything with gesso, used some Bo Bunny stamps for the dots and added some watercolor paint and acrylic splatters.
The file folder pulls out.
The journaling is inside, which reads "These two loved to be together and were insperable. This was Austinie and Kayla before going to the Homecoming dance Sophomore year.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have an AWESOME DAY!!!
