Lynne's March Challenge - Go Green at Flying Unicorn is all about those fresh, happy greens (and maybe a little recycling thrown into the mix.). Except that I rarely ever use green, so I wasn't sure if I could do it well. But I gave it a good college try and here is what I came up with.
The photo is my son Seth - yes, I know he looks like a girl but I assure you, he is all rough and tumble boy. I had fun trying weird things out on this layout, like painting the center and edges green and letting it dry. Then I put gesso over it and while it was still wet I used a comb to get the funky lines. I also cut the diamonds out of a piece of printed vellum (one of the first pieces of paper I ever purchased!) Then I embossed some wide green ribbon and used a lot of stamps and water colors.
I made another odd thing by using a negative piece of chipboard underneath the photo. I painted it, embossed it with some silver powder and then added seed beads embedded in some texture paste!
Well, if nothing else - it's pretty interesting! Stop by Flying Unicorn and join in the fun...and thanks for taking a look!
Have a DELIGHTFUL DAY!!!!!
