"Payton" layout for Creative Embellishments

Hello everybody! It's Lainie here today with my first post for Creative Embellishments and I am so thankful to be able to share my newest layout with you. I featured a picture of my daughter Payton on this page and paired the gorgeous chippies with many elements from the Flying Unicorn May kit to make an enchanting garden to surround the photo.

I used a sketch for this layout and knew I wanted to showcase the fabulous flourishes to take center stage along with the photo. I LOVE CE flourishes and there are oodles of choices! I used both pieces from Flourish Set 14 and 1 piece from Flourish Set 19. The frame is the amazing Leafy Vine Frame - so elaborately detailed!!!
I first treated the all the chipboard with two coats of gesso. I inked and applied Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder in Merci Beaucoup Mint to the frame and heat embossed it with my heat gun, and then applied another coat to give it an almost lacquered effect. For the three flourishes, I painted them with Silks Acrylic Glaze in Fern and then did some detailing with Ivy Green Liquid Pearls for extra dimension and "pop."
Thank you so much for letting me share my work with you and I hope you have a wonderful day!
