Here is my About A Girl reveal for July 1st. The challenge requires the use of the word "New." There is nothing more new than getting married!
This is a photo of my niece, Lindsie on her wedding day after her hair was finished. She was such a beautiful bride!
I used many techniques on this page. The Dusty Attic ribbon slide piece was painted, glittered and set with Crackle Accents. Then I added a small rose to a clear acrylic flower and applied it to the slide, giving it the appearance of a large diamond and filigree.
I used a mix of florals (mostly prima and recollections) but tried to keep in the same color spectrum of peachy-pink, brown and ivory.
I did a great deal of hand stitching. I discovered that many punches have holes that can be used as guides for stitching, giving yet another look to the borders. I also used flat backed pearls and pearl strands throughout.
Before beginning anything, I used texture paste and a stencil for this lovely regal damask background. Also I distressed the paper quite a bit, too.
I always love sparkles, so I added gems to the large white Prima flower and also some Stickles to the Thicker "new" title.
A last perspective!
Thank you so much for stopping by and consider joining the fun at About A Girl!
This is stunning!

ReplyDeletewow, the details here are amazing, it would have taken me a month to just make all the embellishments!! I love the flowers, the slide and the background. I am inspired! (And I do spend too much time sometimes on embellishments and not getting my pages don :) Thanks for checking out my post for the challenge, Lisa
