I really wanted to share with you my altered brooms that I created for May Arts Ribbon contest! I had so much fun doing these...Bethney (a.k.a. the "Ribbon Lady")
sent me some beautiful ribbon with which to craft these gorgeous Witches Brooms.
First, I spray painted the bristles black and coated them with glitter. After the brooms were dry, I wrapped the handles with the beautiful ribbon. I then added flowers to the base of the handle to cover the connecting wire above the bristles (yes, I looked up the anatomy of a broom.)
After the ribbon was secure and dry (I used tacky glue here and there) then I applied rhinestones all the way up the handle of the black and purple broom.
Lastly I topped both with some more gorgeous ribbon and added streamers to the orange broom so when the wind blows, it gives it a sense of flight.

Thank you for stopping by and please go to May Arts Ribbon to see the other entries and any lovely comments are so appreciated!
Have a Boo-ti-ful Day!
