I did a fun little sparkly, present-wrapped layout of my son, Seth for Brandi's Creative Monthly Project at Colorful Creations. Her challenge this month is to use gold - and if anyone knows me, they know I LOVE gold! So, here's to you, Brandi - thank you for the wonderful challenge!!!
I hand-stitched around the background page before I layered and matted it. I deconstructed and reconstructed the gold flowers for this layout and used the Spellbinders Blossoms 1 die for a few of the flowers. I also touched the red roses with a bit of smooch glitter.
I love the lacy look of the Martha Stewart loop punch and how it goes so well with the organza bow.
here is another close-up of the flower cluster. The paper line I used for this layout was the DCWV Christmas Made Stack.
I just love this photo of my son with Santa - my daughter actually took this on her phone and I added the Merry Christmas from PicMonkey. Pay special attention to the Santa tag - I could not believe how much the "real" Santa looks like him...even down to his glasses and how they are perched upon his nose!
For a little extra oomph - I always try to add gems or pearls to the centers of flowers if they do not already have something there.
I hope you all are in the Christmas spirit and I would love to hear your comments, as it is always a joy to connect with you all. Thank you for stopping by!
That is a wonderful picture of my sweet, sweet
ReplyDeletegreat-grandson with Santa. I used to take his daddy to see Santa every year.
Gorgeous layout. Love your use of gold.
