I have entered a layout for the Scrap Around The World Challenge SIX. I really find the mood boards and sketches so inspiring and of course, I love to admire the talented work of all those on the Design Team and  those who enter the challenges...so amazing to see all of the incredible interpretations on a theme. For my layout, I decided to focus on the feminine details of the mood board...the lacy doilies, the pastel into bright colors, and the little gilded touches! I also wanted to capture the feeling of the Technicolor movies of the 50's - the fluffy dresses with pretty prints and of course everything was golden!
Here is the fabulous sketch by Jules.
And the LOVELY moodboard...so full of fresh and pretty elements!
I decided I really liked the pristine and pure aspects of the mood board, so in keeping with the innocence theme, I decided to use school pictures of my two daughters Payton and Chandler. I am so proud of them for the choices that they make in life - they are dedicated to purity and I think they are a wonderful example of young ladies. I know people are probably saying, "yeah right" - but truly, I am very blessed by who they are as young adults!!!
I tried to focus on little details and background work, like outlining each diamond on the stencil before adding texture paste, and then inking and adding paint on top of the stenciling. I painted the doilies gold and hit almost everything with a little gold paint. I also die cut the pretty laurel wreath and embossed and inked it, as well.
I painted the corrugate pink and gold and applied a strand of rhinestones and pearl trim on top.

The photos were matted and a little washi tape was added for some extra punch.
Lastly I added some Zva crystal embellishments here and there for a little sparkle, just like both of my daughters' personalities.
I really loved the outcome of this layout and I hope you enjoy it, too...thank you so much for your sweet comments!
Have a gorgeous day!!!
