Hopefully you have arrived from Janet's blog and are now visiting Lainie's place. After stopping here, follow on to Paula's blog.

Be sure to check each blog every day for more holiday inspiration.  Become a member of all of our blogs and leave a comment daily for a chance to win a fabulous Grand Prize of Scrappy Goodies! That’s right - not only will there be prizes on individual blogs but there will be a Grand Prize too!  Winner of the Grand Prize will be selected from members that comment daily and complete all of the challenges by 11:45 pm Thursday December 5, 2013.

Individual prizes will be announced on each member’s blog. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on the Colorful Creations site on Friday December 6, 2013.

For my project here at Paper and Passementerie, I have decided to start the hop out with a lovely little gift box that I have created from the wonderful Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet papers.

I have included a few photos of my process. I started out with a sturdy candle box that I had.

I kept the candle (I'm burning it as I write this,) but wanted to use the box for a present to hold a photo ornament. I thought this would make the perfect present for my oldest daughter, Austinie.
I began by painting all outer edges with some gold paint.
I used two coats for extra coverage.
I covered all exposed sides with the beautiful paper, letting the gold edges peek through.
Here is the other side.
Then I did a ton of fussy cutting and arranging, letting the design unfold as I played with the papers.
I then arranged the pieces on all sides of the box and created a three dimensional diorama on the top, and each side is different.

On two sides of the box, there are removable cards for writing sentiments or adding a small photo.
I just love all of the beautiful images on these papers, there are endless possibilities for creativity with this collection.
One of my favorite details on the box, is the ballerina that can be seen through the keyhole as the guards are standing by guarding each side.
I hope you are enjoying our holiday inspiration and will join us in creating some magic for your holidays with our projects and recipes.

Don't forget to leave a comment on my page to enter my drawing for a special prize. If you leave comments on all blogs all three days, you will be entered for a grand prize drawing!

To make sure you don't get lost along the way -
