For this layout I used a photo of my daughter Austinie and her best friend Kaila at the beach in California. I used the beautiful Mood Board from the challenge site Scrap Around The World for my color inspiration and theme

I was so inspired by the subtle beach theme and the pretty colors. I imagined a place where you could search a sunny beach for oyster pearls with the waves in the background and the beautiful scent of heady flowers and ocean water.

I began by lightly misting the background with two different colors and then adding some texture paste over a chevron stencil. Then I inked a little and splattered some white paint and stamped here and there. I also added some burlap and painted over it with white acrylic.  I was then ready to add my hexagons.

After fussy cutting the hexagon paper in the shape I wanted and cut out  a few extras, I was ready for the flowers. I used many Prima flowers and assembled them the way I wanted and added stamens and lastly glittered them. Then it was time for the photo.

I prepped a Dusty Attic chippie with gesso and then inked and spot embossed the piece. I then circular cut my photo to size and adhered it to the back of the DA chipboard.

I finally finished the page off with some extra embellishments like a little paper clock, some sentiments and some pretty pearls strategically placed.
