I was invited to be a guest designer for Craft Hoarders Anonymous this month and for Challenge #22, it is all about travel! I created this card and here is what the challenge is about....
Many of us travel around the holidays, so let's celebrate our adventures! Dig into your hoard and find some items that are vacation or travel themed. Do you have a hoard of cruise ship ephemera? Do you have a box of transportation stamps? Do you have a stash of camping themed papers? Or piles of Disney embellishments? Show them off! Create a vacation or travel themed project for us!
I stitched around the edges of the card. I also had the chance to use up some older flowers I had laying around. I changed some of the flowers and tried to alter them to the color scheme I had in mind.
I altered the chipboard with chalk ink first and then I mixed some color into crackle paste. It didn't really crackle the way I wanted but it did give a neat rustic texture that worked perfectly. I further added gesso to give more definition to almost all of the elements.
Lastly, I added a some travel title work with a die cut chipboard piece from Prima Cartographer Collection and I framed the "post card" writing from Maja papers and a Kaisercraft frame.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card! What a joy it was to be a
