Welcome to the August challenge for Creative Embellishments!
This challenge was so fun - I thought it was a perfect opportunity to reach into my "inner little girl" and play make believe. I knew I had to create a fairy wonderland and I love that Creative Embellishments has such a fabulous range of chipboard, like the Fairy Set, the Fairies, and the Fairy Door Set 1. I started out by inking the fairies, and decorating them with a plethora of Stickles glitter glue. I will be giving this canvas to my niece, so I thought the more colorful, the better. I also used the same process for the Grass Set, Branches (Set of 3,) and Flourish 5.
I created a canvas that was clearly derived from the inspiration photo.
Here are a few closer looks at my canvas...I actually used branches from my maple tree outside my house for the A frame of the cottage. Notice that the two fairies above are having their afternoon tea.
I love that projects like these allow you to tap into your unrestricted creative nature. Nothing has to be perfect, it just has to be fun.
