I cannot believe how much I loved the August Kit of the Month from Flying Unicorn! I had so much fun creating with it and really never wanted it to end. I would like to share a layout I made featuring a picture of my Grandfather's sister, Myrtle. My grandfather had lost his father early on and his mother by the age of 13.  Myrtle passed away about a year after this photo was taken. My grandpa then had only his brother left. Grandpa was a very Godly man and talked so sweetly of both his mother and sister and I will always cherish every photo, few that they are, forever.
I couldn't believe how perfect these papers were for heritage photos. Just look at these knock-your-socks-off colors and motifs on the papers by Pion that come in the kit - they are so beautiful up close, I really love the true vintage appeal of them. I started out by layering and stitching some papers and then adding some Prima Color Bloom spray in the background with the BasicGrey stencil provided in the kit for some subtle visual interest.
The wooden butterflies were treated with different mediums, including the Pearlex Grey-Lavender powder in the kit,

I also loved the little metal cherry blossom dies that make the cutest little flowers. I tied some other Petaloo flowers from my stash into the mix.
I also added liquid pearls around the frame of the photo to compliment her dress.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, as always your comments are so appreciated!
Have a lovely Day!
